This private residential development with over 3,000 m2 of internal floor area along with landscaping, infrastructure and associated outbuildings will boast some of the countries greenest design credentials. As quantity surveyor on this project one of our main challenges was to achieve a level of sustainability and green certification within budget. One of the unique features of this development was the clients desire to be environmentally conscious which lead to the introduction of solar power generation as well as the recycling of grey (waste) water. Our services commenced at pre-concept stage and extended throughout all design phases, including value engineering and life cycle costing, through to tender and contract award. This is just one of many high-end residential projects that Hurley Consulting has undertaken in the Middle East. Hurley Consulting were appointed at the post-contract stage of this project to provide cost management services including assessing contractors' payment applications and the processing of variations during the contract. Iris mist is located in the harbour residences district of Dubai Maritime City. It is a 58 storey residential tower with retail shops and offices located on the lower levels. This development has magnificent harbour views, close proximity to the sea and easy access to the waterfront promenade.
